Why Join?
MOD Contemporary Dance Movement is a student-run, advanced-level dance group focused on contemporary styles, with touches of jazz, modern, tap, and ballet.
Founded in 2010, MOD gives experienced dancers at the UofA a chance to continue training, choreograph, and perform in a year-end showcase and community events. The season runs from September to April, with Sunday rehearsals and opportunities for creative leadership. MOD also hosts open classes for those unable to commit fully.
Beyond dance, members enjoy traditions like photoshoots, guest performances, and bonding events. Auditions are held annually, and new members are always welcome!
