Entrance Requirements - Indian Curriculum

Required documents for early and final admission
  Requirements
Early Admission CBSE and CISCE National Boards:

Applicants completing Class XII must present both of the following:

  • Class X board results
  • Predicted Class XII grades

All other Indian State Boards:

Applicants need to submit school results for Class XI showing a competitive average and course registration for Class XII or Class XII mid-year results.
Final Admission

All Boards:

Official Class XII board results

Some boards allow online verification. The following information is required to verify:
  • Roll Number
  • School ID
  • Admit Card Number
  • Five Subject Requirements - to see specific subject requirements by program visit our program tool.

Other common curricula in India

Indian curriculum specific notes

  • Mathematics is required for Engineering, Business, and Science based programs. Please note that CBSE and CISCE Math meets both the Algebra and Calculus requirements.
  • 12th Standard Math
    • Standard Math is required for Business and any Science based program
    • Students applying to Engineering, Business, or Science and do not have 12th Standard Math, please register and complete an online Alberta Math 30-1 Course or other provincial equivalent. Please contact india@ualberta.ca for further information and options.
  • Applied and Business Mathematics
    • These courses cannot be used to meet the Grade 12 Mathematics requirement for Business or any Science based program
  • CBSE Class XII board results can be verified online.

English Language Proficiency

Students in CBSE or CISCE schools, who present 75%+ on their official and final Class XII exams, meet 海角社区 English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements. For a full list of ways to meet ELP requirements, please visit Language Requirements.
