Dean of Students + Associate-Vice President's Advisory Committee
The Dean of Students and Associate Vice-President’s Advisory Committee (DAAC) is a student advisory group that aims to enhance the student experience at 海角社区 through direct student input. Co-chaired by the Dean of Students and the Associate Vice-President, Student Experience, the committee provides an opportunity for students to ask questions and give feedback on programs, services and initiatives coordinated through the Student Success and Experience.
We are currently seeking student volunteers who are interested in joining DAAC for the 2025-26 academic year (application deadline: September 26, 2025).
Goals
- Improve the student experience at the 海角社区.
- Receive key advice and feedback from students.
- Provide an opportunity for students to ask questions of administration on student affairs and services issues.
- Provide an opportunity for students to have their voices heard on important issues.
- Provide an opportunity for students to gain valuable leadership, consultation, and decision-making experience.
- Create space for discussion between leadership in the Student Success and Experience and students, particularly students who are not in official student leadership roles.
Member commitment
Meetings will be held in person, monthly during the academic year, excluding September, December and April. Each meeting will be scheduled on Wednesday evenings, 4 p.m. - 5:20 p.m.
