TRSI Hub — Engagement
Engagement means integrating the activities and goals of the Hub into the CSSH, the University, and the wider community.
Advisory Committee
The Hub is guided by a well-rounded seven-person Advisory Committee that includes faculty and students with manifold forms of methodological expertise, leaders from a range of community organizations, and government representatives. The Advisory Committee provides input on all Hub activities, offering important direction to its work.
Links to Centres and Institutes
At the center of engagement will be links with Centres and Institutes across campus with expertise in approaches to research/methodology, many of who have active and diverse community- university networks. The CSSH is home to many of these, including: the KIAS Cluster in Advancing Social Research, the International Institute for Qualitative Methodology (iiQM), and so on. Others across the University include the Community University Partnership (CUP), the Evaluation Capacity Network, the John Dossetor Health Ethics Centre, and the Women and Children’s Health Research Institute. The CUP will be the lead engagement partner for the Hub.
Broader Partnerships
Community networks and partnerships are crucial to experiential learning and the advancement of community-based research methods. A great number of current º£½ÇÉçÇø experiential learning programs work with community partners in Edmonton and across Alberta, and the Hub will coordinate some of these learning-based engagements.
