Research Security Update
June 2025: Research security requirements have been expanded across provincial and federal funding agencies. As of June 2025, there are updated requirements for the SSHRC Partnership Grant (Stage 2) (Application deadline: October 29, 2025) and the Partnership Development Grant (Application deadline: November 15, 2025).

Individual researchers or groups of researchers conducting research projects within the health sciences.
Value
Varies depending on the research field, approach, and scope of the project. In the last Project Grant competition, the average 海角社区 award was $784,231.
Duration
Up to five years
Intake
Two competitions per year: Spring (early March) and Fall (mid-September). Each competition has two phases: registration and full application.

Deadlines: FALL 2025 competition
- August 8, 2025: Reach out to SRO to discuss applicable research security requirements.
- August 13, 2025: CIHR registration deadline
- August 20, 2025: Risk Assessment Form submission to SRO. If you have a private sector partner and require a under the , your draft RAF needs to be submitted to the SRO by this date to allow time for institutional review and approval.
- August 28, 2025 (4:30 pm Edmonton time): Deadline to submit in Researcher Home Page for RAS review.
- September 9, 2025 (10 am Edmonton time): Institutional deadline (last day to submit in ResearchNet).
- September 10, 2025: CIHR application deadline
