Death Matters Film Series

Death and dying are universal experiences that have been profoundly transformed by modern medical technology.

Death Matters: A Public Dialogue Film Series was created in partnership between the John Dossetor Health Ethics Centre and the Arts & Humanities in Health & Medicine (AHHM) program, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, 海角社区 to foster thoughtful dialogue between members of the public, health professionals, researchers, and ethicists exploring the challenges and opportunities for meaningful death and dying through the evocative power of film and to reduce the stigma and isolation surrounding death and bereavement.

This project was created with generous support from Science in the Cinema, the Vitreous Film Festival, the Kule Institute for Advanced Studies, and the John Dossetor Health Ethics Centre.
