The Stasiuk Program for the Study of Contemporary Ukraine (now under the Contemporary Ukraine Studies Program)
In February 2007, the Stasiuk PrograIn June 1990, CIUS officially established the Stasiuk Program for the Study of Contemporary Ukraine, with its initial work funded by a generous endowment (est. 1988) from the Stasiuk family. ‘The initial donation of $350,000 from the estate of Dr. Vasyl, Eudokia, Anna, and Iakiv Stasiuk was supplemented by a 2:1 matching grant from the Government of Alberta and now funds a number of CIUS projects. The Stasiuk Program was founded to take advantage of the enormous quantity of material available on this subject. Its purpose was and remains to provide an accurate analysis of events in Ukraine for those engaged in Ukrainian studies, government and non-government organizations, the general public, and the media.
The Stasiuk Program for the Study of Contemporary Ukraine was incorporated into the Contemporary Ukraine Studies Program in 2015.
