Report of Completion of Course-Based Master's Degree (please fill in all sections without exception)
Supervisory Committee Form: The supervisor must check with their student that the Supervisory CMT form has been sent to the Bureau des Études supérieures. If necessary, it must be resubmitted as soon as possible.
Five weeks before the defence, the supervisor sends the Notice of Examining Committee & Examination Date (Master's Final) form to the ES office.

You have successfully defended your thesis and your examination committee has recommended that you ‘pass’ or ‘pass with revisions’. What now?
1. Submit end-of-program documents:
- Thesis Approval/Program Completion. You must tick the boxes in each section without exception to confirm that you have completed all the requirements for the Master's degree with thesis.
- º£½ÇÉçÇø THESIS/DISSERTATION NON-EXCLUSIVE LICENCE ;
- Send them to the office no later than six months after your defence (to: csjsup@ualberta.ca).
- If these documents are not sent within six months of passing the defence, the student will no longer be considered to have passed (check this same link for the procedure when the thesis requires modifications or is not passed).
2. Register and submit your thesis
- Go to , using the following procedure - Submitting Your Thesis Electronically in Thesis Deposit
- GPS will re-read the thesis to verify that it meets the necessary criteria. Wait for GPS to approve the formatting of the final version of your thesis.
- If GPS accepts the thesis, it will send you an email confirming that your thesis has been accepted.
- Your thesis will then be published on the platform and made available to the public free of charge as soon as possible thereafter.
