Employer Support

Support from employers plays a vital role in the success of students in the Master of Accounting (MAcc) program. For many prospective students, the decision to pursue graduate studies depends not only on personal ambition, —but also on the time and financial backing offered by their employer.
We encourage employers to view support for the MAcc as a strategic investment in talent development and organizational success.
How Employers Can Support MAcc Students
Investing in your team through the Master of Accounting (MAcc) program isn’t just support—it’s strategy. Sponsoring an employee’s MAcc journey delivers immediate and long-term benefits to your organization, strengthening your workforce and deepening your leadership bench through:
- Higher-skilled employees with advanced accounting, strategy, and leadership training
- Faster CPA qualification for employees, accelerating their readiness for higher-responsibility roles
- Increased retention and employee satisfaction through investment in professional growth
- Enhanced organizational capability, as staff bring fresh ideas, frameworks, and insights directly into the workplace
- Tuition reimbursement or sponsorship (full or partial) helps reduce the financial burden on students and reinforces the value your organization places on education and certification.
- Funding for materials, travel, or exam fees related to the CPA designation can further support employees on their path to becoming CPAs.
The is an employer-driven training program that allows employers to recoup a portion of the funding they covered for their employee's learning and development. Employers typically contribute a minimum of one-third of the total training costs per fiscal year, while the Government contributes two-thirds, up to the maximum of $10,000 per employee
- Flexible scheduling or approved leave during the intensive four-month summer terms (May–August) can help employees fully engage in the program.
- Supporting employees with time to prepare for the Common Final Examination (CFE) after program completion also demonstrates long-term commitment to professional development
Most MAcc students pursue the program while simultaneously completing their CPA Practical Experience Requirements.
