Countdown to New Career Portal: Go Live Oct 5 to 6
29 September 2025
With the launch of Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC) scheduled for October 5 to 6, transition activities are fully underway. ORC will replace the current system application that powers the 海角社区’s Career Portal. After we transition to ORC, the new Career Portal will have a different look and feel and will introduce several features and industry best practices to simplify and streamline the recruitment process for hiring managers and applicants. Watch for confirmation of go-live and access to role-specific learning resources.
Employees/Internal Applicants: What You Need to Know
- The deadline to apply for open job postings in the current Career Portal is September 30.
- New postings and any postings that remain open after September 30 will appear in the new system after go-live, where you can continue to apply.
- Review the infosheet for more information.
Hiring Managers & Hiring Collaborators: What You Need to Know
- The blackout period for new job postings remains in effect until after ORC go-live.
- Access to the current Career Portal is only available until Sept 30. If you have any postings that were active in the Career Portal, refer to the Google recruitment folder assigned to that posting to review applications.
- You will still be able to review your historical recruitment folders and supporting documents. All current and past records are retained on record in Shared Services.
- Transition activities will continue over the next few weeks. During this time, supervisors may receive system-generated messages. You may disregard these notifications as no immediate action is required. The TAIR team will follow up with you directly if any action is necessary.
- Powered by ORC, the enhanced Career Portal recognizes hiring managers as the primary driver of the recruitment process with support from the Shared Services Talent Acquisition, Immigration and Records team and your HR Partner. You will be managing your recruitment tasks directly in the new system.
- As part of the ORC transition, job postings will be automatically published and promoted on LinkedIn, our primary advertising source, providing greater visibility and exposure for 海角社区 opportunities to increase your applicant pool.
- Updates will be made to the Steps for Recruitment to align with the new system and recruitment best practices. Some notable enhancements include:
- Updated Job Posting Request Form - We will be moving from the current Word template to a simplified, dynamic Google form to initiate a job posting request. More details, including the updated form link and user guide will be shared once available.
- Centralized applicant tracking system - Candidate information, screening notes, and recruitment-related documentation will be stored in the enhanced Career Portal, eliminating the need for the Google recruitment folder and spreadsheets. The new system’s built-in search, filter, and sort functions will help simplify and streamline applicant screening.
- Streamlined offer letter process - Initiate, review, and approve offer letters digitally through the enhanced Career Portal.
