Description
Les Hagen will explore the development of the world’s first open-access public health treaty surveillance platform – the Global Tobacco Control Progress Hub. The interactive data visualization platform provides a window on the world of the implementation of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control and contains over 300 indicators from 183 reporting countries spanning a 14-year reporting period. The Progress Hub enables all interested stakeholders to take an active role in treaty monitoring, surveillance, and reporting. Since 2022, tobacco control organizations from over 30 countries have used the Progress Hub to help boost treaty implementation.
