Chetan Dave

Chetan Dave is a professor at the º£½ÇÉçÇø’s Department of Economics. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics (with honours) from McGill University, a master’s degree in economics from the University of British Columbia and a doctoral degree in economics from the University of Pittsburgh. Early in his career, he worked as an economist for Statistics Canada and the Department of Finance Canada.

Chetan’s areas of expertise include macroeconomics, behavioural economics and experimental economics. Chetan has extensive research and teaching experience, having held academic positions in the USA and the Middle East. In 2018, he received the Best Paper Award at the 27th Annual Eurasia Business and Economics Society (EBES) Conference for his work on public goods and inequality aversion.

Chetan served as the associate editor of the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization from 2011–2016 and has delivered presentations and conference talks for institutions all over the world.
