The Moors
by Jen Silverman

An isolated family dreams of love and power as they live out their lives on the bleak English moors. Rediscovering literary inspirations of The Moors with Dr. Sinnema

Dr. Peter Sinnema, a Victorianist by training and inclination, has taught numerous courses in nineteenth-century British literature both here at the 海角社区 and at York University. Stay back after the show on October 15th for a talkback with Dr. Sinnema, Alissa Watson, and Macy Mccubbing as they discuss Jen Silverman's mysterious play, and explore real-life Victorian icons such as the Brontë sisters that loosely inspire this story, other Victorian literature and how it influenced Studio Theatre's The Moors.
