It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our colleague, mentor, and dear friend, Professor Aidan Rowe. His sudden departure is a tremendous loss to our Department, our Faculty, the 海角社区, and the wider design community in Edmonton and beyond.
Aidan was an extraordinary leader, a gifted educator, and an innovator in the field of design. His enthusiastic teaching and dedication to his students left an indelible mark on generations of emerging designers. He brought passion, curiosity, and insight into every classroom, and his leadership helped shape the direction of our Department in meaningful and lasting ways. Aidan’s work, in practice and in pedagogy, pushed the boundaries of design and inspired critical engagement with the world around us.
He was deeply respected and admired by all who had the privilege of working with him. His absence will be felt profoundly across our entire community.
